2004-2005 Goals

              1.  Develop improved methods of internal and external communication
                • Design and implement a simple process that promotes effective communication among vision teams, ministry teams, and ministry coordinators (Council)
                • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding the design, effectiveness, and frequency of Contact (Communications Team)
                • Identify effective options that promote weekly communication within the congregation (Communications Team)
                • Develop a master calendar for the congregation and ministry teams that is easily accessible (Executive Committee)
                • Encourage members to “share their stories” for the benefit of the entire congregation (Koinonia Team)
                • Identify a primary media liaison to newspapers, magazines, television, and radio who will promote congregational activities (Communications Team)
                • Re-design the congregation’s web site to make it more attractive and interactive (Technology Task Force)
                • Develop an accurate email directory and increase the use of email communication (Communications Team)
              2.  Continue the design and implementation of the new Structure for Ministry
                • Encourage and support members in identifying and using their spiritual gifts (Director of Lay Ministry/Faith Formation Team)
                • Clarify vision team membership and orient members to the new structure (Council)
                • Develop a system of accountability within the new structure (Council)
                • Identify specific ministry teams and ministry coordinators (Council)
                • Modify the spending plan for ministry to reflect the new structure (2005 SPM Team)
                • Celebrate the work of previous committees and complete transition to the new structure (Structure for Ministry Team)
                • Finalize written descriptions of vision teams, ministry teams, and ministry coordinators (Council)
                • Begin by-laws work to incorporate new Structure for Ministry (By-laws Task Force)
              3.  Promote leadership development activities among staff and members
                • Integrate new staff and develop a team approach to ministry among staff (Pastor Anderson)
                • Initiate long-range planning efforts through Council retreats (Executive Committee)
                • Develop stronger congregational leaders through focused leadership training (Council)
              4.  Develop a reputation among visitors and the community at large as a welcoming congregation
                • Strengthen the Greeters Team, training them to practice hospitality to visitors (Proclamation Team)
                • Create more welcoming parking strategies for visitors (Proclamation/Ministry Support Teams)
                • Integrate new members into the life of the congregation (Koinonia Team)
                • Develop more positive relationships with residents and businesses in the Incarnation neighborhood (Community Partners)
                • Increase ecumenical involvements with other faith communities (Community Partners)
                • Identify key city partners and develop stronger relationships with them (Various individuals and teams)
                • Develop stronger ties to local higher education communities (Community Partners)
              5.  Develop a comprehensive plan for campus maintenance and management
                • Identify and evaluate the current committees, individuals, and other groups that contribute to the maintenance and management of the campus (Ministry Support Team)
                • Develop appropriate ministry teams and coordinators to insure that campus maintenance and management needs are met (Ministry Support Team)
                • Initiate long range planning activities for the campus  (Campus Renewal Task Force)
                • Evaluate the current cleaning service and yard maintenance companies to determine if the campus needs are being met (Ministry Support Team)
