Building Renovation
For the last several months, GSLC has been undergoing
a building renovation to make our church accessible to those needing special access.
The groundbreaking ceremony was conducted on March 12, 1999, and we are happy to
announce that construction will soon be completed and a re-dedication ceremony is
scheduled for mid March. The new features will allow GSLC to better serve our community
and our mission.
The entrance on Braddock Road will be made handicapped
accessible, and an elevator will be installed allowing access to all
floors. We are remodeling our kitchen and staff offices, as well as
redecorating our Sunday School rooms. Work is also being done to the
roof, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone for their patience during
this renovation process. When all is finished, we will be better able to serve the Alexandria community and
be further equipped to accomplish our mission. We have accomplished
quite a lot over the recent months and the slight inconveniences we
have had to endure will be well worth it!
