Preschool News
"Waiting" "Waiting" "Waiting" "What do you have to wait for?" This is the
question we posed to our preschoolers at the beginning of our Advent Season, and they came up with
great ideas! As we wait for our building construction to be completed, it is an exciting
time for our program, but waiting for Jesus to come and preparing our hearts for His daily
presence is much more important.
As we make angels for our tree display at the Ag Arena "Festival of Tress", we will tell the story of
how all of heaven was waiting for a special baby to be born. We will await the best gift of all - the
Christ Child born in Bethlehem.
God's Blessings this Christmas, Dianne Sefter, Preschool Director

From the Elders
The Elders meet each month. In a typical elder's
meeting, discussions center around any concerns there may be in regards to the spiritual
condition of the congregation. The elders assist the pastor in the worship life of the
church, are there for the spiritual care of the people of the congregation, and pray for
the people of the congregation. The elders have a Care List, and everyone who is a
member of the congregation is assigned to an elder's care list. All members are
encouraged to contact his/her elder if they have any prayer requests or spiritual
concerns. The elder care list is posted on the bulletin board in the entryway.

Child Care Ministry
Childcare is available during the Sunday School hour for children approximately 3 years of age
and younger. Parents and any interested volunteers are needed to take turns helping on an
unscheduled, but help-when-available basis.
Child care ministry is available during the 10:30 a.m. worship service! This ministry provides
parents with a safe, professional, Christ-centered place in which to have their children go
during the worship service to learn about Christ. The child care is intended for children
kindergarten age and below. It is provided for visiting families and church member families.

Prayer Ministry
There's an exciting ministry at Good Shepherd! Although the group at first plans to focus primarily on prayer for the ministry
of Good Shepherd, it is more than willing to accept prayer requests. You can e-mail
your request to the Prayer Team Co-ordinator.
