Lenten Devotionals for 2021 – Regular and large print copies of Luther Seminary’s 2021 Lenten devotional, Awesome Mystery, are available with bulletin distribution at MLC parking lot services and at the church office during regular hours. Christ in Our Home: Copies of the monthly devotional have finally arrived. If you would like to receive a copy, please let Kathie McCreary know. She will deliver one to your car. If you are receiving the announcements via email, please call the church office (539-8664) and one will be put aside for you. When you come to pick up your copy, you can call from the parking lot and someone will bring it to you.

There will be more exciting changes coming in the new few weeks.  Please make sure to read your “Important” emails, your Sunday emails, and the Parish Visitor.

We will do our best to keep you informed.  And remember, you can always call Jeanne Fleegle, Council President, (535-1916) or the church office (539-8664) if you have any questions.

Observe 6 feet of caring even when sharing peace and in greeting one another.

Please take your bulletin with you to help the cleaners.

For Holy Communion

Those who do not wish to commune now will receive a blessing in their seats after all served.

Our best effort is being used to prevent potential spread of infection.

Please –

Come forward in single file to edge of table.

Remove mask, extend cupped hands.

Receive wafer and consume.

Step to side facing Communion Assistant.

Receive napkin and cup of wine as it is offered to you across the table.

Dispose of cup and napkin in basket as you return to your seat.

PLEASE take this bulletin home with you

to use as a reference throughout the week

and to help stop the spread of infection.

MLC Liturgy Notes :

Creed – is the church’s reply to God’s Word, the public acceptance and confession in summary form of the faith of the whole church. We stand as early Christians did, ready to defend the faith. It is another ancient connection with the saints who have professed their faith from the earliest days. The Apostles’ Creed was the baptismal creed of individuals. The Nicene Creed is a summary of what the church believes and was created by mutual agreement at the Council of Nicea in 325 C.E. (A.D.). We confess and affirm our faith using the words of the Athanasian Creed.

Reflections from the Prayer Room:

“Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” Mark 5:34

The key words here are “your faith has made you well.” Contact with Jesus had a profound impact on people. Like the women in Mark who had been suffering for years, we can reach out to Jesus for help. Through His death on the cross, Jesus fulfilled the criteria for meeting God. Now it is by faith that you and I encounter Jesus, and through him, meet with God.

Lord, thank you that it is by faith that we encounter you. Lord increase our faith and help us to keep on believing.
