Proposed and organized by the Montreal Lutheran Council, the Montreal Joint-Lutheran Picnic has been held in Saint-Lazaire for the past several years, rain or shine. Parishioners gather from all the Lutheran congregations in Montreal. An outdoor service is held. Each family brings their own food. There re group events, such as bean bag toss, soccer game and tug-of-war. Weather permiiting, most of the children spend the afternoon at the pool. A large covered enclosure has served well on the one occasion when it rained.
