Zion Lutheran Church

Our Heritage

This web page presents fascinating facts from Zion's past. Watch for a new fact each month.
  • September 1952 - Sunday, September 7, the regular annual Lutheran Rally was held at the Butler County Fairgrounds with services inthe morning at 10:45 and in the afternoon at 2:15. The Rev. Ronald Hals spoke in the morning. Dr. Liefeld of Capital University was the afternoon speaker.

  • April 1952 - On Palm Sunday on April 6, 1952, there was much celebration in the newly renovated and decorated sanctuary. Our God is a God of beauty and He was honored that we wanted to make his house as beautiful as we could. Pastor Mueller stated: "May it be unto God and His reward is with you."

  • March 1952 - Zion had Chapel Vesper Services for those in the community who could not understand the English language. This was not a communion service, but a devotional service.
