Our small congregation is more than 150 years old.  Off the beaten track, people have gathered here over the years to worship God, hear his word, rejoice at his Supper, and discern his mission for us.

Ours is a church where each member's participation is truly sought and appreciated.

Hope is much in evidence at Zion.  Rather than fretting about surviving, the people of Zion continually return to the question, What might God be calling us to do?  There is an awareness here that followers of Jesus are to be engaged in a mission to speak and to be the gospel in the world where many sit in darkness and the shadow of death.  Prayer and study of the scriptures are two of the elements that "keep our feet to the fire" (of the Holy Spirit), who calls us forth in mission.

Rooted in Word and sacrament, we seek to be the "blessing of Christ in the world."  Zion's people treat one another with respect and love;  and they are willing to offer their best for the sake of the gospel.

Thanks be to God!
