What we Believe, Teach, and Proclaim
There is one triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Preserver of all things.
The Bible is God’s true Word, without error. It is the source of Christian faith and life.
All people have sinned and fall short of God’s perfection.
God, in His love for us all, sent His Son Jesus to gain forgiveness of all our sins.
Forgiveness and eternal life are free gifts from God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, God creates and sustains faith in us. Through faith we receive and trust in the promises of God.
Good deeds are done by Christians in response to the mercy God has shown them, and that they in no way earn God’s favor.
Baptism is a means by which God gives to us the gifts of new life and salvation.
In Holy Communion, we receive the true body and blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins and the strengthening of faith. |
